DANIEL LIVINGSTON
CLAY ARTIST


Daniel grew up in Pearl, Mississippi but has lived in Tuscaloosa since the middle 1970ís when he started attending The University of Alabama. Daniel received his MFA in ceramics and painting from The University of Alabama in 1979. For the majority of the last 20 years, he has concentrated working with Raku. Raku is a Japanese style of firing ceramics. For the last 15 years, Daniel has been a demonstrating artist for the Kentuck Association. Daniel is active in art shows around the southeast. He has work in private and corporate collections throughout the United States, England, France, Japan and New Zealand. Along with being a member of the Alabama Designer/Craftsmen Guild, he is also a member of the Craftsmen Guild of Mississippi. In addition to his active art show schedule, Daniel teaches ceramics at The University of Alabama.
