Blue Light Special Art Show
December 11 - 12
We would like to invite you to
apply to The Blue Light Special Art Show being held December 11 & 12th this
year, always the 2nd weekend in December, at Cahaba ClayWorks in Leeds. This is
a unique show in that you can sell your damaged work, or work that hasn't sold
at multiple shows... it's basically a 'mark-down' venue. Customers come to this
show looking for bargains, but are ready to spend on the good stuff too... one
jeweler sold a $3,000 ring last year! Cash!
We host an "Empty Bowls" fundraiser in conjunction with this event... potters
donate the bowls, chefs donate the soup & bread, the customer pays $25 for lunch
and gets to keep the bowl. Then we donate the $25 to First Light Women's
Shelter. If you'd like to donate bowls, please contact me.
Cahaba ClayWorks is located just up the hill from the new Bass Pro Shop in Leeds
on Hwy 78 (Parkway Drive). We have over 24,000 sq ft, 4 acres, and multiple
entrances for easy load-in and out. This is a well advertised and well attended
show. The entry fee is $150 with a $25 jury fee, and the deadline is August 30.
